ABOUT REBOUNDING

Also known as bouncing on a mini trampoline, rebounding seems like an activity with simple benefits, but in actual fact research has found that the mild but continuous G-Force created by this low bounce offers far reaching benefits that go way beyond exercise. It not only helps you to get fit, tone your body and assist with weight loss – it’s also one of the most effective ways to boost your lymphatic system, detoxify your body and boost your immune system.

 safety guidelines

*Always Bounce at YOUR OWN pace

*Bounce gently until you are accustomed to the G-Force and feel secure on the mat

*Be aware of where your body is over the mat – keep it central

*If you feel any form of unusual pain/discomfort – stop bouncing and sit down. If this worsens, seek medical attention

*You may feel a strong burning in your calf muscles if you’re new to rebounding – this should decrease with each session

*A rebounder is not designed for doing tricks

*A Support bar will not support the full or falling weight of a person – it offers mild support only

*Our rebounders have a maximum weight limit of 12okg

*Footwear is a matter of individual preference – however at BounceFit we request soft sole rebounding shoes, non-slip socks or barefoot. We have found it to be safer on the ankles and improves the feeling of contact with the mat.

*Stepping on and off a rebounder needs to be done with care to avoid catching your feet, and you may experience a mild feeling of “sea legs” when you step off the rebounder.

*Stop to have a drink of water if you need to and always drink a glass of water at the end of your session

*Common side effects: Aching calves, sea legs, the need to urinate or mild dizziness
